Hey everyone I have a 2008 Jeep Wrangler X which is my mothers and she is having a problem where you can’t use the electric start because it’s apparently stuck in valet mode does anyone know how to get it out of valet mode?

There isn’t a trunk button I’ll get a picture of the key because I already googled everything and I couldn’t find anything so I came here

Perhaps, the more intelligent, pressing question is:
Is it factory remote start or an aftermarket remote start feature? As each has its little quirks for proper functionality.

I have a 2008 and mine does not have a valet mode. Try your spare key, maybe the anti-theft key fob (or possibly the Jeep’s receiver) isn’t working. Also might be a problem if she has another vehicle’s too close
