If you've recently seen my build thread, you've also seen that I acquired a few more LED lights. There is a local shop in a nearby town that is selling them at very affordable prices. I thought I would share the info here in case others would like to go the same route. There is no webpage or anything so you'll need to give the guy a call (info below) to order.

I have to say I was skeptical at first given the price, but I called and spoke with the guy and he offered to drive to meet me on a Saturday so I could have them this weekend. I am impressed with the finish and quality. Obviously I will have to see how they hold up, but I have no reason to suspect that they will not.

FYI--I am in no way affiliated with these guys, received no discount or any other perquisites. I am simply posting the information so others can take advantage of what I think is a great deal.

No switch and just a short section of wire for the ground and power. They don't come in a fancy color box with stickers either. :cheesy:

I threw my LOD switch in the trash and went with these guys: www.OTRATTW.com

I used to live in North County San Diego and lived really close to a place called DDM tuning, I put their HID kit into my F150 and they work great! The location in Vista was extremely helpful and I have been a loyal customer ever since... So anyone in the SoCal area looking for a great alternative for off-road lights should check them out. I moved to AZ and had a bulb/ballast blow and needed a replacement quick so I could drive again at night and it was shipped and credited within 2 days with lifetime warranty because if was a defect with the bulb itself:rock:. So its worth the check out! Here is their site, hope it helps! see you on the trails.:thumb:

I need to do much more research on this one, it looks like the sPod could actually be cheaper. I was building one of the Wiredhdh.com kits just now online, it was over $850.00. I'm not sure if I was overbuilding the kit or not, more research definitely needed.

Yeah, I get out over my skis quickly with electronic stuff. Frankly, I just like the way it looks. But my Daystar panel, OTRATTW switches, relays and wires work perfectly fine. Hell, the lights on my tire carrier are wired to a switch that just floats freely in the glovebox for now. We wired it up the night before running the Rubicon and didn't have time to run it to the panel. LOL!

The daystar panel doesn't have power. You wire each switch. Through relays to the battery.

Oh, right, that makes sense too. Trying to figure how to go from accessory to battery to daystar and how all is connected without shorting/frying anything in the process. Admittedly, one of many things still learning.

It's not that difficult. Just get a basic wiring schematic and go with that. It's easier then you think.

the inspired-engineering lights are nice, they made me a custom harness for my light bar that plugs into the stock fog wiring so I can use the stock switch instead of running any wires inside. I plan to order a few more in time. For now I only have the 21" bar in spot/flood and amber tinted lens. I also have 8 of their rock lights waiting to be installed this weekend.

Was looking at picking up a similar set. Going to have to get a bigger batter or do what I did on my last truck and install a second battery and possibly a bigger alternator since I have the entire interior wired with green led glow lights for night driving. How bright are those spotlights?

[QUOTE=crippledpetey;191292]I bought some LED's from WarriorLED and they work great. Here is a quick test video last night. I am standing about 40ft away with my iphone so video is sort of crappy but you get the idea. I tinted my lights with a green film to defuse them for dust reflection and they work great!

Hey man how did it go with ordering from Warrior LED's? I got my Order as a local pick up but the guy is really cool we have used my jeep as a test jeep for a few lights. I was thinking of trying to help him out and spread the word for him so he can get his business rolling. The only thing is I don't want to put my name out there for the guy if his orders are jacked up or he has bad customer service. Also Nice video.

Overall was good. Had an issue with shipping (was supposed to ship to me but went to him so it took longer) but he took care of it. Always a pleasure to talk too and replied very quickly. Lights seem work as advertised just not sure on longevity yet. For the price it's worth a shot though :thumb: I would use him again and have recommended him to a couple others already.

Ok cool I am going to do the same then I know people are a lot nicer in person but if the guy was good to people not in person then I don't mind helping him out.

Sami is great to deal with and their customer service is outstanding. I'm pleased with my purchase, the quality is good and half the price of Rigid. Only time will tell to see if they last 60,000 hours.;)

Doing the math it 60,000(hrs)/24=2,500(days)......2,500(days)/365=6.85yrs.....6.85 yrs of continuous use.......looks to me like it should last way longer than you'll ever ever need to use it.

Anyone hear of Olympus offroad? I picked up a set of their led rock lights for $28 a pair and I am waiting for them to arrive. 3 Cree LEDs per bar. They have cubes for $125 a pair and a 50" for 500 I think. Made in the USA and from Parker Colorado.

Texaslibertyled.com has the same "cubes" for that price ($80) if not cheaper. I'd verify that for y'all but I can't see their website from ym work computer. They're good people who aren't in it to make shit loads of money but to help people get LEDs for a very affordable price rather than pay Rigid Industries everything in your savings account for virtually the same product. I'm using them for my projects :thumb:

Oh and Olympus Offroad are good people too. Though their lights are a little more, I believe the colored light covers would be worth it. My lights (the same ones posted here) are getting beat on by bugs; not that thats really that big of a problem lol.

Here are the rock lights I got from Olympus offroad. They were $28 a pair. I need to get some wire as they only come with about 2' off the bar. They have studs you can attach on the back side to mount.

Those look unreal. What was the wiring like? I am thinking to possibly wire a few to the bottom of the fenders similar to yours with a switch on the console. Then possibly 2 linked to a second switch for the hood. You never know when you need lighting at night under the bonnet. If I didn't already install glow lights in my floor to match the truck and give lighting to the ground I would have totally use those. 53860

I wired it to an spod, but they sell a wire harness and switch for an extra $10. It's $28 for a pair. The bar just has a red/black wire on the other end.

See I don't have a sPOD and for the price of them really can afford to blow a was of cash on it new. Currently have everything wired between my stock light switch so when I turn my head lights and fogs on I turn on alllllllll of my lights. I need to find a sPOD or maybe just make my own
