SteerSmarts tierod

Hey guys/gals. Looking for a lil help here.

After we installed the new tierod things looked good but of course the steering wheel was a bit off.

I get free alignments so I took it in to the shop and had it on the rack the next after we installed it.

After they finished everything was alignment well.

My issue is the drivers side tierod bushing and angle of the tierod. The pasengers side bushing and rod looks level while the drivers side is not level and the bushing is not level either.

Should I be concerned? Doesnt look right.

they should both be flat. you'll want to loosen both ends and rotate the ends until they are both flat.

And from experience... steersmarts does not stand behind their product and replacement parts are too expensive.

when it's time to replace a part on those - take a look at Currie instead

Steer Smarts can suck a big fat dick. Fuck those guys. Posers.

What’s up with them ? Would like to know the backstory for you to get that passionate about them and hear the reason to stay away

I'm currently experiencing the other problem with Steer Smart.

I have their tie rod on my Jeep. I didn't buy it, it was on the Jeep when I bought it.
For nearly a year I have been happy with it, and have given it a ton of abuse.

Now one of the tie rod ends is loose. Guess what? No cheap fix like many others, it is a proprietary part, non rebuildable, and only available through them, and nearly $200 for ONE end 🤯🤯🤯

I figure if one is bad, usually the other one is close behind it.

For less $$ than two ends, I'm getting the one Bubba is building at Exodus, and when an end goes bad, it is a cheap and readily available fix.

Gotta everything straighten out. Hope it lasts. Apprceciate the help.

I wish I could of known Bubba before I bought the SS setup. When my SS tie rod is done Ill be replacing that with Exodus' aluminum tie rod.

I just saw that link regarding SS being banned from Wayalife. I couldnt read it all but now I see why Eddie and other forum members have a bad taste in the mouths for SS's business practices.

Thanks again for all your help. This forum has been great!
