How can I disable my daytime running lights ?

I have an 08 JKU that is equipped with drl's (Canadian Jeep). I would like to disable the drl's for a couple of reasons....1) when trailriding I want them off as not to distract others. 2) I have recently installed Trucklites and they flicker like crazy in the daytime running light mode (headlights off).
I have a Superchips tuner but it does not support the function of turning off the drl's. I know an AEV Procal will but I want to keep my Superchips.

Interesting. I have a 2011 JKU Rubicon and don't have DTRL. I have an auto setting that I keep them on and they come on when the sun goes down.

Did they stop with that option?

In Canada....I think it was around 1990 all vehicles had to be equipped with drl's....I know onmy old YJ I could unplug a resistor but lost the high beam indicator on the dash
