NOOB Question about stock axle's

I have a 2011 JK 4dr sport. How can I tell what axles are installed? Is there a number to look for?

Much appreciated

There is a thread about this already. All JK's have Dana 30 front and Dana 44 rears. If you have a Rubicon its D44 front and rear.

If you have a sport you have a 30 upfront and a 44 in the rear. Gearing is a little more tricky if you want to find that out. I believe if you look up your VIN on the jeep site it will tell you though. If not you can count how many times your drive shaft spins for your wheels to make one complete revolution.

Youre welcome!! I believe we have 27 spline axle shafts in the Dana 30 and 30 spline axle shafts in the Dana 44. I have an X so Im runnin the same stuff as you.

If you log onto the Jeep website, go to the owners log in, go to the Learn & Use section, then go the the equipment part on the box on the left side of the screen, scroll through everything to see what your jeep all came from the factory with.
