what lights are you talking about? Truck-lites? JW speakers? which are the most popular...

Over here in the UK LED daytime running lights are soon become law on new cars, so most new cars you see already have them. I'm sure even the Audi and others cars in the US already have them, Audis are integregated in the headlight.
The reason for my thread was to find out how Jeep are going to handle the situation, perhaps they will copy how this specialist Jeep company have handled it. http://www.pistonheads.com/classifi...elsea-truck-company-cj300-le-auto-2012/965110

So you're talking about the headlights right?

From the factory, DRL uses the halogen bulb at pulsed voltage to make them dimmer. If you install LED headlight, then your DRL which work on the low beam LED will probably flicker from the pulsed voltage but still works.

The headlights on both of those rigs are truck lites. One has generation 1 truck lites the other has generation 2. A lot of us already run them. And the spots are the A pillar are just a Rigid LED or knockoff of the same.

^ thats a good question. I don't see Jeep making custom headlights with the LEDs built into them for daytime running light purposes so they'll probably make the stock fog lights LEDs and be daytime running lights. It'd cost them less money to just put the sensor wired to the fogs which are LEDs rather than come up with an entirely new headlight with the LEDs and wiring to seperate the LEDs from the halogen driving bulbs. Who knows though.

No, on many cars the LED daytime running lights are not in the headlight at all, e,g, this C Class Merc http://www.pistonheads.com/classifi...cedes-benz-c-class-cdi-blueefficiency/1135960

Many new cars here the UK are similar to the Merc although on saying that somer are like the Audi setup.
They have nothing to do with headlight itself.

I was wondering how Jeep are going to combat the problem over here.

cant forget about bmw halo's they've been there since the e46! I wonder what a jeep with halo's would look like(for some reason it sounds wrong)!

I see what your talking about.

Guys look between the bumper and fender there is a strip of LED running lights(you can see it really good in the second pic). Also looks like there is a light ring around the fog lamps in the bumper. That is pretty cool looking! Not a bad solution but if you trim your fenders there will be no room for that style light.

Ok stripped the photo out of the ad.

I got it, the kind of LED stripe in the seal beam..

But why would it be obligated? halogen are not visible enough?

That's another good question, I must admit I not sure why they are enforcing it on all new cars
