Trimming painted flares

Anyone tried it? If so, please post some pics.

I'm thinking it would be easy to damage the paint/clear-coat.

Thanks!

If you can't walk my beat unarmed, maybe you should consider becoming a police officer.

No sir. I just found the pics a long time ago. I liked how the Jeep looked so I saved the photos. I have a jeep folder in my iPhone..lol

Done it and depending on how you cut it you can scratch the paint if not covered. I used a jig saw and shavings wedged between the fender and saw. Left a couple nice black lines. Preventable though. Yup but I cut them on the jeep. Except for the front supports, did those off it. Took some pics at a meet n greet of Eddies and another guys for reference.

Your flares turned out sweet. Wish I would have picked up some silver ones for mine instead of factory black ones. Your rig is awesome as well!

Thanks, it's definitely a work in progress. There is a silver set for sale on jkf as of yesterday.

Thanks, I used a grinder with a cut off wheel. I finished up with a razor blade. If I had to do it again i would cut the painted part with the roofer type razor blade.
