Simple Front DS Question

I will be doing a 2.5 spring lift in the next month or so, while not necessary would there be any drawbacks to adding a JE Reel front DS? If all works out wheels, tires, front and rear bumpers will all arrive about same time and while I'm installing all that I could knock out the DS as well. Long term I will be going to a 3.5 full suspension with arms, brake lines, bump stops, etc so it could wait until then, just curious.
