Just got my spare rim and tire put on the stock carrier.
Nitro 295/70/17 with eagle 197 rims.
It fit yea, but concerned about the weight and the tire dgoesnt snug up to the pads on the tailgate..
Any inexpensive fixes??
On a tight budget right now and I don't want it snapping!

You can buy the extensions for the spacers or new spacers. I have also seen others use golf balls or hockey pucks to extend them out. Just make sure that the tire touches the spacers and you will be fine.

I'll have to check the spacing when I get home.
Where can I get new spacers? I want it to look and fit right.
Anyone know the Max weight capacity of the stock carrier?

My tire hasn't touched the rubber stops at all for the past year....... Guess that's bad but I haven't had an issue.

Hooked
bought a cheap rubber mallet, cut the ends off at the height needed, drilled and put them under the stock spacer.
