Turn signals for tube fenders

I am building a set of tube fenders for my tj. Unsure of what I want to do for lights. Thinking something like the pic with small led and jk lights in the grille, but to put the lights in the grille I have to move my fog lights and didn't want to get into that too. Any one have an experience with leds that small I'm afraid there not going to be bright enough. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
