BRICKS IN THE WIND : A Drag Race of Jeep JK Wranglers

On our way home from our 2013 Summer Kick-Off Camping trip, a few of us decided to do an impromptu drag race down a mile long abandoned airstrip in our Jeep JK Wranglers. Some were 2012 models with 3.6L v6 Pentastars, others had the old 3.8L v6, some were manuals, some were automatics, some were running 37" tires and some were running bigger or smaller tires. One even had a HEMI. Needless to say, nothing about this race was equal but we all had a lot of fun pushing our bricks in the wind as fast as we could. We hope you enjoy.

that's great! made me grin...and bringing in the rear...3.8L...should've put some honey in the tank for the extra kick :clap2:

I tried racing on the merge lane, damn Prius beat me out :doh:

The winner was Chris in the Orange Crush JK which is a 6-speed running 4.10 gears and 37" Hankook Tires. I believe we were only pushing about 80-85 MPH by the end of the mile.

EDIT: looks like I'm too slow at responding now too :grayno: :crazyeyes:

Yep, the first race you were right at my rear bumper ...

I had a blast, we need to get Moby to the track after its heart transplant
