I have always wondered if everyone who has a seriously modded JK, TJ, or YJ drives them every day...My YJ is definitely is not seriously modified but it is my daily driver IMG_20110714_144815.jpg

Seriously, this is our primary daily driver...

Although, now that we have this all built up too, we're starting to drive it more and more...

Before getting all built up, it was almost wierd driving something so low to the ground.

My JK "Creeper" is my current DD but based on my needs I'll take my Tahoe. Wife has the Beemer, too shiny and fancy for me to feel comfortable driving.

So let me ask you a question from YJ owner to JK owner...How does it handle on the road with the coil over coils?? I am used to the stiff hard suspension...I know I don't have a sports car but mine sure handles good...

Seriously, this is our primary daily driver...

well, our big white JK used to drive like a cadilac - smooth as butter but, we just upgraded to a double throwdown and firmed things up for fast desert driving and now, well now it drives more like a corvette and holds tight in the corners. people complain that i drive way too fast all the time and i was already loosing people on mountain roads even before the upgrade. :yup:

Are you a student at COCC? I went to school in Oregon and spent a lot of time snowboarding at Bachelor.

The last 4 years I was daily driving the LJ on 37s. Stupid traffic, narrow bridge, etc. Over 50k miles during that time. Prior to that it was daily driving a YJ on 35s for years.

February, I got a hand me down 1996 Tercel. It has no options. not even an air bag. Going from the 6spd LJ to the 4spd Tercel... I seem to run out of gears really fast.

End of the day, I think its about the same if not less cost to have two vehicles than just the LJ. the upside is that there is greatly reduced maintence required on the LJ.

My daily driver is a 2006 ford focus. Rainy days make me sad. Lots of mudd on way home from work but car not good for that. Lol

Here it is. Not the most fuel economic but it's fun to drive on my 120 mile Dailey trip.

Damn Serg! and I thought my 100 mile daily commute to/from El Segundo was brutal enough. Though I only take my JK about 2-3 times a week. My '98 Jetta VR6 picks up the rest of the miles.
