Cb radio hook up

I NEED TO KNOW IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME WITH HOOKUP FOR MY CB BECAUSE I HOOKED THE POS WIRE TO THE BATTERY IT SEEM TO WORK OK TILL I BEEP MY HORN THEN I GET A TERRIBLE DISTORTION NOISE IS THERE A PLACE I CAN HOOK IT UP TO SO WHEN I TURN THE KEY ON IT WILL WORK THAT WAY AND NOT GET ANY INTERFEARANCE JYAZZ06 THANK U:usa:

I we t to radio shack and get a 12v car adapter that i just plugged my wires (from the cb) into and then plug that into the 12v power outlet in the jeep.

However if anyone can tell me where i can get some wire so I can splice it on and make my cb power wire longer that would greatly appreciated

I picked up a spool dorm Home Depot.

RadioShack should have just about everything you need. If your going to be splicing wire for it I'd get between 12 gauge and 16 gauge wire just to be safe. Also if you don't tune your antenna with an SWR meter be careful about using it because you can fry the radio over time.
