Well, we planned on coming home and stopping at fossil falls and maybe drive through the mine shaft on our way home. We made a stop at onion valley camp ground just to check it out. We started talking to a couple that had just come down from Gilbert lake which is a 4.4 mile hike round trip.
My girl just smiled at me and I knew we were going. We grabbed some food and water and hit the trail. Here is what we found.

We are Geocaches so we actually got very lucky to have found one up by the lake. This one is called. Beaver Fever. In one pic I have my hands full of beaver. Lol.

Eddie turned us on to an iPhone app that takes some sick picture. Been using it ever since. I think it's called HDR PRO.

I have a friend that lives in Lone Pine and usually make a few trips a year there. Alabama Hills cafe is the best. Plus I've gotten to spend several weeks there with work in the past and have done a lot of exploring... If u like fishing horshoe medows has good fishing for goldens. They are tricky to catch though.
