Saskatchewan Side Of Alberta

Hello my name is Tyler I am up in Canada. I was living in Edmonton ,AB but I am now living in Lloydminster on the Sask side of the border. I have just purchased a new 2013 Jk Rubicon 2dr Black. I plan on doing quite a bit of mods to it and have already started ordering parts. I will elaborate further with it's progression and updates in this thread. I am glad to finally be a member of this club and am very excited for my new travels. I have a 05' Cadillac CTS-V with 84000km for sale $18,500. I was planning on getting work done on the car although a Jeep was constantly looming in the back of my mind. But being that I live in Canada and the roads suck and going off road is funner than fast in my books I chose to sell the car and go with a JK.

So for the start I was hoping to get some advice. I am a networking technician and I am not very mechanically inclined or at least to my knowledge.
Should I attempt to do some of the harder mod installs myself (aka Wayalife write ups and YouTube)?
(meaning body lift 1" and lift kit 2.5" and geometry correction brackets)
I have limited tools with no garage should I just go to Cody at Spitfire?
Does anyone know where to get a good price on 5 x 35" 17 tires?

Here are the parts I have on order and they are arriving daily it is like and exciting Jeep Christmas over here. Some I ordered from the USA because I just could not find them in Canada. A few items are purely cosmetic and not necessary like (steering stabilizer) but I liked the look. I love how many accessories JK have available to them and I have a huge ever growing list. From a Spod to a 4x4 off road trailer it's all such a new exciting ex$pen$ive world. I look forward to my new endeavor even if it is pocket book heavy.

2DR Black Rubicon 2013

Mopar gas cover
4 piece clear signal cover and marker lenses
Jk KC black windshield brackets
Slimlite Long Range, Super White 6" in black
StarFab Smart Door Stops
DayStar 1" body lift (don't judge me...Tyler lowers his head in shame)
AEV Dual Sport XT Suspension lift 2.5"
AEV Geometry Correction Front Control Arm Brackets
AEV ProCal Module
Blistein Steering Stabilizer
AnzoUSA 311203 tail-light
Safari Straps Warrior long cage extended
Safari Strap grab handles
Rugged Ridge Hood Catches black aluminum
American Rebel Outlaw Diff covers x 2 black Jeep logo
Bestop Hoss window storage duffel
Rancho Rock Gear 3rd brake light tire carrier
TruckLite 7" Round Led Lamps
Rugged Ridge D2s w/ Poison Spyder fog light mount

So that is the start and now I eagerly await for it's arrivals. Any criticism or advice is welcomed along with any pointers on where to purchase 35" tires with 17' Black w/ chrome ascent rims. That and if a YouTube lift should be attempted...

Thanx for all your help in advance Tyler.

Wow! Impressive list! Welcome to wayalife! Congrats on the jeep. As far as doing the build yourself I would be weary if you don't have much mechanical experience and no garage or tools. But it's based on your budget and what works best for you. There's always other wayalifers out there willing to lend a hand and there's no better feeling then doing the work yourself.

Its been a fun summer and I have done all the work myself so far but I still have not done the body or suspension lift. Although I do have the parts and I added a few more to the list which a keen eye might be able to pick out. But he are some recent pics.

exhaust opinions....

If I run this exhaust will I need a EVAP relocation kit?

Dynomax® Ultra Flo "Rockcrawler" Cat-Back Exhaust in Stainless Steel

Also has anyone ran this. I am trying to go for the deepest sounding exhaust I can find. Not loud and 'ricey sounding' either. Any personal experience with any drone would be helpful also. I have used youtube but my lap top speakers don't do what it really sounds like justice.
Thanx
