Mt. Evans trip cut short.

On out way up to Mt. Evans my RPMs started dropping and my check engine light came on. It was flashing and beeping. I limped back to boulder and had them take a look because it threw a code p308. That confused me because I had thy head replaced 2 months ago. It turned out that when the other dealership replaced it, they bent the bracket back flat. This rubbed a hole in the insulation to the of the wires which caused 2 cylinders to short out. Now we are all fixes up and ready to try again. Very glad that we are finding all this stuff while under warranty.

Bummer!! Hope you at least made it to the top of Floyd Hill so you could coast most of the way back to Boulder.:yup:

Wow! That's terrible! I just had the head replaced on mine last week. I'm gonna have to watch out for this. Thank goodness for that warranty! Did you replan your trip?

Going to climb that mountain next time I'm in Denver to see my kids. I can't imagine over 14k feet on a highway!
