2022 Jeep JL Wrangler 392 Rubicon Unlimited – Bright White

392 HEMI Jeep JL Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited

When Cindy and I first heard that Jeep would be making a JL Wrangler Rubicon with a factory installed 392 under the hood, you can be sure that we were the first to say, “sign me up!” But, then came the reality check… the price. I mean, let’s be honest here, these things are stupid expensive and we already owned 3 built up Jeeps that did everything we wanted and more and Moby, our JK Wrangler already had a Motech 6.2L LT under his hood. So, what finally pushed us over the edge you might ask? Well, I suppose you could say we’re a little crazy… about V8 engines if nothing else. And, much like Jane, our CJ-5 Renegade with a first of its kind 304, we really wanted to have this JL Wrangler, as a part of our family and with what will most likely be, a last of its kind, 392.

Original Factory Specs
• 6.4L SRT HEMI MDS V8 Engine

• 3.73 Gears
• Air Conditioning
• Color Matched Hard Top
• Full Doors
• Half Doors w/Premium Soft Uppers
• Trailer Tow Package

Just saw this beast in the parking lot of the Belvada. Mine’s the blue gladiator with the KC bar. 🙂

Hello, my wife special ordered our 22 392 with the extreme recon package. We love it! At about 18k miles the transfer case went out. That was about 2 months ago. In that time we are on our 3rd transfer case, it’s currently in the shop. Something to do a motor within the t case. I think it is an electrical problem that starts engaging the front lockers. It will bind up when turning. Have you heard of any other 392 owners that have had this issue.

Unfortunately, this is a very common problem with the 392. The clutch packs in the transfer case are the issue. Installing a standard Rubicon transfer case would be the better way to go but then, you lose the all time 4wd.
