Thanks everyone [emoji106], I’m waiting on the welder to show up to weld the windshield brackets before I take it out for paint

I’ve got a drill and some self tapping screws in my pick up. I’ll swing by on my way to pick the kids up this afternoon and take care of that for you. who needs welder

So here is my advice on drilling the holes in a doorjamb for installing a cage, take it or leave it, I’m a plumber not a mechanic.
These holes
IMG_5795.JPG
My ocd told me to get a drill bit just big enough for the bolts so there would not be any play. When I blindly drilled them the holes were a hair off and it completely threw me out of whack. Well I got a die grinder bit to elongate the holes and that made a huge fing mess of little metal shavings and the holes looked like shit. So I finally drilled them out bigger with a step bit and I now have nice round holes that line up with the holes in the leg of the cage. I drive myself crazy sometimes, damn

Don’t think I know anyone that drilled the holes perfect. Mine were off and had to be wallowed out.
