I may or may not know about an incoming shipment that just might arrive on a pallet via freight shipping [emoji41]

For being an 09 it still had the original battery in it and I couldn’t have asked for a more trouble free Jeep. Well I won that Oddessy battery on IG so I put it in. Then one day randomly my wipers came on and wouldn’t shut off, dash was dead, no turn signals, not sure about the lockers didn’t try them, headlights on all the time too

So my Jeep recently developed this exact issue. It will start and run, but the dash is completely dead, the headlights are on with the switch off, the wipers are on with the switch off, turn signals don’t work, interior lights don’t work. I read through your saga with changing the TIPM and other stuff. Looks like a new cluster solved your issue? Everything still good since then?

Damn that sucks, but yes it’s been perfectly normal since. It caught me off guard in Windrock when I started it the one time the wipers cycled and I almost panicked but then I realized since it was raining I had the wipers on already! Anyway I can’t believe I’m saying this but honestly I would take it to the dealership and have them check it, it may save you from taking the TIPM out and sending it to California and spending all that money and not getting anything fixed. The actual fix only costed me like $1100 the rest of it was my fault for not taking it to the dealership in the first place.

Well like any good electrical problem, this one magically disappeared as soon as I got in the Jeep today to take it to the dealer for a diagnosis. I’m sure it will come back next time I’m out camping or in the boonies. But for now, everything works again. 🤷🏻*♂️

Geez that figures, at least it never not started or stranded me anywhere. I thought at first it was the battery since I could unhook it overnight then hook it back up and everything was good for 6 starts then went to shit the 7th start every time

I tried disconnecting and reconnecting the battery but that didn’t do anything. Checked all the battery terminal connections. All right and good. Problem still there. It just magically fixed itself. If it doesn’t come up again in a few weeks I’ll be taking the Jeep to the dealer to calibrate a new SRS module and will see if they can detect any issues with the cluster. I’m happy r problem went away but I’d feel better if I knew what it was and could prevent reoccurrence.

It’s the not knowing why is the problem...it stays in the back of your mind while attempting an epic hill climb...
