Had some self entitled millennial get all pissy about this to me at work the other day. I told her it does not effect me at all because I have been paying for hunting and fishing licenses every April for as long as I can remember. Then I asked her when the last time she donated her money to wildlife, or the last time she volunteered for trail maintenance or campground cleanup. Her stomping off was worth it. :cheesy::cheesy:

Those fees are the only way that agency gets any money. They stock the lakes and rivers and save places for furry and feathered critters that I can shoot and eat. Spent time talking to more than a few Game Wardens and some of the shit they put up with is astounding. Cleaning up after people who treat their areas like a giant trash can is probably one of their biggest gripes.

Couldn’t agree more. Most of the non hunting population don’t realize it’s the reason we have all these giant protected state lands which we can hike, fish, camp and hunt on. Oh and of course drive a jeep through!!

I think this is great, being out of state when I buy a fishing license I buy it for the year and at $100 it's not cheap but it lets me come and as I can.

I hope Utah does the same thing .

I get tired of seeing hikers and groups gathering only to watch them leave 1/2 their used up shit behind (reason I keep a plastic bag in my gear).

Yikes! That's some scary shit. I never did hear how that started. Anyone know the details?

Apparently he got out of the Jeep to help someone else with something, then the Jeep started rolling. So either he didn’t have it in park or was relying on just the parking brake in a manual.

I just searched for some stories. The driver said he turned the Jeep off & set the parking brake. It must have been a manual and in neutral if it rolled. I couldn't imagine seeing a Jeep come crashing down in front of you on that trail.

That video was crazy. But if you don’t set the e brake correctly on any trail in that area the same thing could happen. I don’t think BB pass is really that different than the other trails there.

It really isn't a difficult trail but there is zero margin for error. Like you said, the rest of the trails are the same, just that BB has several of those switchbacks that pucker your ass.
You cannot fuck around out there.

How does that happen? I get it’s a narrow road with the switch backs but how? Were they not paying attention? Did they panic?
