I couldn’t hire out. Prices were between 19k-22k and I had to have the Sheetrock in the rooms. If I had to get the guys to carry all those boards, they’re gonna want to hang them too. So it’s costing me material, that’s it.

I’m very happy for you. You and the family gotta be seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. You and I both know finishing is still a ton work, but it’s gotta feel good to see those walls close.
You have no idea. Thanks... Yeah, still a lot of work to do, but this is a major milestone for sure.

Carried in 250 boards of 5/8” Sheetrock today. Half up to the second floor. We got the first floor walls sheetrocked. How did it go for you?
Duuuuude. Just reading that I’m in pain, go drink more beer. And whiskey. For the little bit of drywall I’ve done (just a basement) I never want to touch the stuff again. I know it’s something you get better at as you do more but good lord that’s a huge project.

Drinking plenty of beer. Staying away from whiskey for now. Ceiling almost done on first floor, put in the steel for the staircase and hanging boards on the second floor. Yeah, huge project. I’m running on fumes right now. A lot of heavy lifting.

I forget how much the terrain and climate changes in this country.

I’m saying this as someone who spends alot of time cutting grass and making hay, we have had a very wet year and having to mow my yard every 4-5 days gets old quick.

I know I’m adding new work, but I’m tired of dirt.

I would be too, I enjoy living in a green place but with the amount of fertilizer and lime I put out earlier this year and then the rain it’s been non-stop, it’s great for hay production but I have spent more time on my zero turn this season than my Jeep.
