According to the guide, the bear bones are prehistoric. The sow bear and her two cubs got trapped in the cave while hibernating. The sow ate the cubs and then eventually died.

Those mountains looks pretty similar to the ones in Yosemite. Pretty cool! Looks like an exciting first day!

Love that place. Drove up there three times from 29 Palms. Spent 28 years right in between Glamis and Dumont, but St A’s is definitely my favorite dunes.St Anthony Sand Dunes

Watched my 145lb son pilot my Bombardier DS-650 (730) around Devils Dune at 81mph. I was 260lbs at the time so it went nowhere near that fast with me on it.

It’s a beautiful place! We drove in from the west and the run over the mountain is awesome. The 10% grade allowed me to play with the shift paddles on the 392.
