Day Trip to the Rubicon - April 4th

I am pretty sure I blew out my steering pump... The last 2 miles of Saturday was a tough one. It only seemed to give me power steering at higher idle... I will be looking into it tomorrow.. I will get some pictures up today.

See if you can source one from a pre 2012. I think we talked about it when airing up.

Kyle do you know about JW Auto wreckers in roseville? May be able to source a used unit

My friend and I looked for you guys after we got off the trail Friday around 5pm. We figured we somehow missed where you were camping, so we aired up at the Chalet, then hit the road. We ended up seeing you guys driving in (passed one group of approx 5 JKs on ice house, then another group of 2 JKs on wentworth coming from Georgetown). Sorry we missed you guys, but maybe next time! Note to self - don't forget sun screen.

Couple pics from Fri...

My only other thought was when we pulled over at Little Sluice for lunch. I know that everyone parked near the bypass. That made that area congested... But again plenty of room to use that bypass. Sigh... I don't get it.

I'd be shocked if it was at little sluice, that's where we split the group to let some yotas and jeeps through. Those guys waved and talked to me. I'm chalking this whole thing up to "haters."

Jk12, I saw you! Coming up ice house, tried to wave but the fire wood in my passenger seat was trying to bail out on me. Would have been awesome to meet you.

Yup, that was us on Ice House Friday afternoon! I think there were 6 Jeeps in that caravan.

No joke on the sunscreen. I can definitely feel the sunburn this morning!

how funny. I think I had my whole body hanging out the window waving to you guys as we passed each other. It would have been fun to meet for sure! Definitely have to line something up in the near future. Looking forward to seeing more pics of you guys wheeling.

Ok, I was going to keep my mouth shut, but I just can't take it any longer.
I wheeled with this same group of Wayalife Thugs back in October. Rubirick and Petey were constantly mindful of other traffic and made sure to keep us clear so others could pass. So, I find it hard to believe this trip would be any different. However, on the October trip there was this one member of our group that felt the need to bring his PRIUS and tie up traffic for what seemed like hours. Yep that was the first group from Chico, the Bay Area and one from Nevada! We were all wondering if that was you too! We got up there later than planned due to construction traffic. Wish we could have had time to chat. Hope to meet ya soon!

Gotcha. I figured you all might be running a tad late. I figured we would have either seen you on the trail or the main camp ground loop area. Definitely looking forward to meeting you all in the future!

Pretty sure you are the guys I saw heading up Green Valley Friday morning. I was in the white JKUR, going to work :naw:

Jealous seeing these pics, but on the bright side my grading did get done this weekend. Now just irrigation, topsoil, seeding.... Oh God what did I start....
