Drilled holes. Fitted nutserts, my better half was genious at making a 1/4" mandrel for pneumatic nutsert tool as it only came with metric size mandrels and test fitted EVO skins. Off to the powder coated they go. 2017-03-04-20-58-06.jpg

Lucy's new running boards

I installed a set of Smittybilt SRC rock rails Saturday. It was a great father son adventure... ok maybe not an adventure but my son (11) wanted to help, so I handed him a wrench and had him remove the passenger side running board while I worked in the driver's side. He did great and said it was fun working on the Jeep. Sorry I don't have a pic of him working on the Jeep but I did get it on video and will be putting that on YouTube here soon.

A pic of the finished work.

Not sure on that one, I never took my other Jeep on any tough trails with them. I did scrape some packed dirt a few times which brought out a can of black paint but nothing else ever happened to them. The lower bar is about flush to the frame rail and the construction is sturdy. You will even notice a more rigid feel to your Jeep as these will stiffen the frame. I wish they would have had a center body mount position as well but no gripes otherwise.

Well I got a couple more things done today.

Ordered a Cobra C75 WX cb radio and antenna mount, it will be here Wednesday.

Next was a bit of an adventure. I washed both our Jeeps. Just as I was starting out it rained... then stopped, followed a couple minutes later with hail... (that hurt)... and then snow! Yes real snow but nothing enough to stick... then the snow turned to rain. Right after I finished and put the washing stuff away, the sun came out for a few minutes. Gotta love the Pacific Northwest.

Swapped out the Diff covers for a set of Solid Axle dana 30 front and dana 44 rears. New covers look really nice.
