I hate litter and graffiti. Ironically as we drove into Boise there was Jersey Barricade that spray painted with huge letters: “Californians Suck!” I large number of people have migrated in to Idaho from Cali and the natives aren’t happy about it.
Elko is an interesting town. We drove around a bit and it’s definitely growing although it still maintains its Old Nevada feel.
Just a couple of interesting things we saw.

I was wondering where the steady supply of water originated from. Then we found out.
It’s a good sized body of water. Plenty of RV’s scattered around it. It would be really easy to go off the grid in an RV in Nevada. Lots of places to park for free where nobody would bother you.
Today we explored downtown Boise. It has a nice downtown with lots of places to eat and drink. It’s way cleaner than many cities of similar size in the east. We also went to the Boise Zoo- mainly to see the Red Pandas.
We then headed to Elko by driving south on Hwy-51 which turns into Hwy-225...
