Nice rig bro. I'm originally from Boonton, BTW.

    RETIREMENT ROAD TOUR #1

Oh man! You guys were in my neck of the woods. I ride my street bike on Hwy 89, Gold Lake Road, Hwy 49 all the time. Haven't been to the 4x4 campground yet though I have camped near gold lake on one of the forest service spurs.

    RETIREMENT ROAD TOUR #1

Ah, Elko. I stayed at a hotel there when I was visiting the Ruby mountains and looking for a house in Spring Creek. It's also the place I contracted COVID. Love/Hate that place.

LOL, add me to the list of people that need a 392 motor. My 2 door needs some oomph. I was going to "like" your post, but my like button is gone. @wayoflife

NO TAGS - Is it Just Me?

I see a lot of high-end cars around Tahoe with no front license plates -- because, you know, when you are rich the law (and vehicle code) doesn't apply to you. Also, I bet that half of the people with junky cars with no plates at all, when pulled over, will argue with the officer about how...

    Method Bead Grip Wheels

I'll probably end up with the 703s as well.

    Method Bead Grip Wheels

I read enough good reviews of them to narrow my procomp replacements down to the bead grips. Wish they had a pattern that looked like the classic Jeep wheels with the circle cut-outs, though.

    GARDENING Thread

Having a backyard garden and some fruit/avocado trees around the perimeter of my yard is on my "some day" list. Right now I spend way too much time playing in the woods and don't really get any down time until early summer, which pretty much starts in July here. But I still have a driveway to...

That's a nice tying station! I just use my WFH desk lol. I can take a break and tie a fly. Then go right back to work. But it is totally unorganized.

    Fishing Jeepers...Post Up Your Pics

In the process of teaching my son to fly fish... and untangle tippet. But yesterday we fished a small tailwater near our house and it was ice cold. I don't think I've ever fished a river that cold in June. Not sure how deep the reservoir is but it must be quite deep. It is fed by snow melt and...

    What was that crunch?

I contacted Google Fi support to see if they could offer me a deal on a new phone and I got the same suggestion. But then I would have to drive to Reno and hang out or worse leave it and come back another day. So with the over one hour one way drive I figured I would end up spending a bunch of...

    What was that crunch?

I've had a surprisingly good run with phones. 5 years out of the one that met it's demise today. 4 or so years out of the one prior. In fact I am surprised, with the amount of backpacking, backcountry skiing and fly fishing I do, that I haven't killed more phones by dropping them in the river...

    What was that crunch?

The only thing I am worried about is recovering my 2FA codes from Google Authenticator. Half of which are for work accounts. If I don't get them back, it is going to be a long week.

    What was that crunch?

Same here. In fact I got to my destination and found them right where I left them. One time I had left a wrench on the bolt head of a LCA that I was torquing to spec. Found that the next day after driving up into the woods to walk the dog. 😳
