When i did some major upgrades 4 years ago with my budget topping out the only option for me was the serious performance 44/60 combo. I did a 392 and 8 speed so i figured the 44/60 would be good enough. I only planned on 37's so 4:88 and ARB lockers is how i optioned the set. The front 44 was...
Update: reverified ground was tight and free of corrosion. used an Ammeter to test fan draw- on fan start up it drew 30ish amps and 20 amps constant while running on low. the wires are sized appropriately and the fan does not run constantly . so this still leads me to believe the plug either was...
I run a 180 degree thermostat and it runs pretty cool for a hemi . the fan will turn on low at 192 and off at 186 ish . The fan cycles as needed, and it doesn't run constantly. That's why I suspect a poor connection within the connector. There is an inline 50 amp fuse from the battery , i did...
I have question for the JL crowd. My JK is running a JL fan for the hemi swap and it has chewed up two radiator fan connectors . The first time i replaced the fan and PWM controller harness. This time I de-pinned both connectors and spliced the wires for the fan harness together eliminating the...
I was able to try this https://www.lubegard.com/products/evap/ . it seems to have worked . It smells like the jeep ate a breath mint which is better than a farm/hay smell.. we will see how long its lasts ..
Has anyone had luck with the foaming AC evaporator cleaners? My 300K mile JK's AC has a odd smell after a wheelin trip. Its almost smells like a farm ... I've seen the foaming cleaners that you run up the condensation vent line , but I'm not sure how effective they are .
just my 2 cents, i ran 35's with the stock 3:73s for ever ( 242K) still got shit mileage ... it was habit to start the jeep and turn off the over drive . still only got about 230-250 miles per tank... it did fine in 4lo but i do wish i re-geared it.. you will only enjoy the jeep more with better...
The Red Dirt Jeep club held there annual STK fall crawl at Cross Bar Off road ranch in Davis Ok . It was a great cause to help support the kids and go wheeling .
Yeah I had some issues in the past with the rear diff. I shared some other pics with Dynatrac showing showing similar temps around 150 ish . The Dynatrac engineers said that was a normal temp after an extended run ( 20+ mile commute) . Towing would be a different story though and gear break in ...
