We have started preparing the axles for the new Artec Trus and Brackets. Took off the knuckles, Unit bearings, axles and cutting into the old brackets. The Instructions I downloaded from Artec indicates I need about 2 inches of cast removed from the drivers side axle tube to make room...

We have had a lot of snow and mud up here in the PNW this year. Its been fun getting some snow wheeling in but I am ready for summer. https://plus.google.com/109354649471132497488/posts/29PeBTV1vuo After a lot of back and forth mentally about where I wanted to take the JK I finally invested...

Its been an eventful 8 weeks. The front replaced Cryo treated ring gear... So Far so good. Been out on the trail a few times since its replacement. I however have identified another rather expensive failure point. Sector Shaft! Yep they apparently break on JK. My reading suggests they...

A few more changes. I have been toying around with the idea to install a CO2 tank for a few months now. I decided to go for when I read about this nice beefy bracket from wheelersoffroad.com http://wheelersoffroad.com/product/off-road-air-systems/heavy-duty-tank-mounting-brackets/ After we...

The Wrap has been holding up pretty good. Actually its nice because the paint takes no damage at all to this point. I have de-Virginized the wrap however. I have been out of commission for about a month. My last wheeling trip I had one of those many things go wrong at once days. 1. Pin...

We had that concern as well and some reading suggested that we strap the axle down and just take your time moving from one side to the other making sure not to get the axle to hot in any one point. We used a bottle jack with some wood and chains. You could probably pull something like this off...

Went wheeling with the club last weekend in Elbe ORV Park. I got epic-ally stuck in side trail. I tried to run through a mud pit dug in up to my bumper half way through. Club tried two winched 4 door rigs at the same time to pull me forward but I was just dragging them in.

Where did your Jeep take You this Week?

Wheeling with the Timber Tamers club in Elbe ORV park in Washington. Got stuck so deep in mud another 4 door jeep and 4 runner with winches could not pull me out together. I just kept pulling them in. Finally going backwards I got free.

    PNW Washington OffRoad Expo

I thought I would post this since its coming up soon. Local club I am in is running the event and I am also volunteering to be a spotter/recovery on some of the trails. Should be fun and a bit different compared to regular trail runs. http://www.northwestoffroadexpo.com/
