I hadn't seen one since my last post on this thread but I kept traps out. I was out of town last weekend so I set them all off and left them out there. After the clown showed up yesterday morning, I reset them all yesterday. I doubt I would have caught him yesterday, he just strolled through briefly.
 
Just got a notification of a deer near one of my trap areas.

I went out a little later to make sure she didn't set any off. Damn was she close. She left a nice hoof print about a quarter inch from the trap pan.

I carefully used a stick to move the dirt and find the pan. She lucked out big time.

Ain't gonna lie. As happy as I am to not have to deal with regular yotes, I miss the the drama and strategy of trying to catch them. It's kind of become a normal morning chore until recently. One strolled through this morning but certainly not regular. I have no active traps out there due to hunting season approaching. But if he hangs around, it's game time.
