LOL!! Been a while since I've seen this thread.

There's still fun to be had on the Rubicon but it's a far cry from being what it once was. I get that people are doing what they need to "keep it open" but I'm not real fond of the way a lot of them start to act like they own the trail. This goes for a lot of the trails that are "adopted" by clubs.
Just do it on 35's with 1310's. It'll be plenty challenging...haha.

I can agree to closing off things if it's on private property, doing significant damage, or forcing people to make "new" lines. What I don't agree with is simply changing it to allow for more people with seemingly lesser skill or ill equipped vehicles to run it. The trail is synonymous with Jeep and iconic. To "open" it up to others is a big injustice. That being said I had an absolute blast last year on the Rockin' Rubicon Run and can't wait to do it again.

If you are stopping for breakfast in Reno, I highly recommend Peg's Glorified Ham & Eggs. (The downtown location will be slammed because of Hot August Nights, but you could get into the South Meadows location).
