Colorado ruined me... pic heavy

Maroon Bells was on my list but I was never around there early enough to avoid the crowds. I was surprised that I only saw a couple other guys in a pickup at the Mill the whole time I was there. Fun trail on the way in too.

Interesting that those two most photographed spots in Colorado are in relatively the same area. Would be good to go thru Crystal Mill and continue thru Crested Butte and then over Pearl pass ( which is just south of the Maroon Bells ), dropping into Aspen. We just ran Pearl Pass this last week, cloudy and rainy the whole day, but I can see how it would be totally amazing on a clear day. Totally getting away from traffic, only saw one other vehicle (Jeep) oncoming during the entire trail.

BTW: you took some great pics!

Ugh, I hate these threads. Every time someone posts these I start daydreaming and plotting when I can get out there again...:daydream:

I concur with everyone - great shots. The lighting is awesome in them.

Thanks again for all the comments. I think it’s pretty tough to take bad pics out there between the views in every direction and a jeep. I came back with just under 1,000 pics to go through. Most were unrelated to jeeping, but here’s a few more on topic-

Getting caught in a freak afternoon 10 minute monsoon seems to be common in Colorado-

Coming from NY, driving through Moab felt like another planet. Just an amazing place. Next visit will definitely be in the winter though lol-

Bad ass pictures. Went for the first time last year. Never forget driving through the first time. It's like another world from Illinois or New York.

Great pics and thanks for sharing. Being born and raised in CA and having traveled over much of the west with work I seem to take it for granted at what great sights and things we have. That being said I love everything the west has to offer, can never get enough, and do not ever see myself moving very far from where I am now. Just East, North East of CA would be great..haha.
