Finally got to go get the Mojave dirty! A group of us from TulareCountyOffRoad ventured out to Freeway Ridge/Black Gulch Trail.

Got to put those Israeli skids to use along with all of my control arm and shock mount skids. Differential skids I’m glad I had.

Got to use my winch for the first time too. Boulders+dip on the other side+length of the Gladiator=no go.🤣
Never got into anything to disconnect sways, maybe next time. IMG_0159.jpeg IMG_0158.jpeg IMG_0164.jpeg IMG_0165.jpeg IMG_0177.jpeg IMG_0168.jpeg IMG_0189.jpeg

After returning from Moab, we traveled north to see the Great Salt Lake

Yep. It was salty. 90% of our table Salt comes from the the Great Salt Lake. Morton’s has a factory nearby to process salt.

Had a great trip with the Bakersfield Trailblazers up to Lockwood Creek Trail/Miller Jeep Trail. Out of a couple of dozen vehicles I was once again the lone Gladiator (shit, never been in to the whole naming a vehicle deal, but Lone Gladiator might be a good one).
Got to do a bunch of beating, banging, scraping, screeching, and crunching. First time I got to do the disconnect dance. Witnessed a lot. Learned a lot. Funned a lot. What else can I say. IMG_0423.jpeg IMG_0406.jpeg

That’s not gay at all….. 🏳️‍🌈

Come on man, you need to say something manly to him like, damn you look fairly normal, not like the dick we thought you were! 🤪
You’re right, he is just a fairly normal looking guy and doesn’t have the typical asshole look lol But that is a great picture of a father and his daughter…

Yeah I know. It is a wonderful, sweet picture of them both. I just don’t want it going to his head. 🤣

Been negligent posting this, this trip took place mid to end of June, been a bit busy since I got back. Me and the wife packed up the Jeep for our annual (anniversary) camping/ wheeling trip. Left out of our abode in hell (edge of Death Valley) on 13 June.

Quick pit stop along the Panamint range, just outside of Ballarat. this is one of our favorite local areas to explore when it's not crazy hot.

We headed through DV and Vegas, to St. George, stayed the night in Kanab. The following day we continued on to South East Utah and hooked up with the @Sylvester crew to begin a 3 day offroad trip starting in Blanding Utah. They wanted to see if we could get from Blanding to Moab with minimal pavement travel, and there was a couple of spots he either hadn't been through or didn't know if the trails were passable, sounded like the beginning of a great adventure. After meeting up Thursday afternoon and having some dinner in Bluff Utah we headed down along the San Juan river to explore some Anasazi ruins and set up camp for the night. The ruins were amazing, and we camped on a hill overlooking the river that night.

In the morning we headed back to the ruins to get a look at some of the petroglyph panels close by. I've got tons of pics from that, there's tons of them and it was very cool to see them up close.

...We continued north along Comb Ridge, and eventually ended up in another canyon they took us to show us some more ruins. I don't remember the name of this canyon, TBH I was lost most of the time on this trip, not having to be trail lead and just following for a few days is a great way to relax, lol. 20230616_144043.jpg

With some weather rolling in we moved out to find our next camp site. We had a pretty steep rocky climb out of this valley on a trail called "The Dugway". It was a pretty fun climb.
