How to transport with tow rig?

Disclaimer, I like working on my own stuff and I would do this as a vacation.


Drive it, if it breaks, fix it. Think of it as a learning experience. Most of the bolts should be SAE, bring a set of tools and give yourself some extra time. If nothing breaks hit a trail or two on the way.

Yeah, not an option. I need to get there, get it, and get back. Only detour I may do would be to take a quick stop in Moab and grab a few pics of it with the rocks in the background.

The setup I ended up going with

Enterprise Truck Rental had the 3/4 ton F250 Super Duty. Came with hitch receiver. The 1/2 ton trucks don't come with that.

Car carrier is from UHaul.
