Sounds like you have an air leak inside the axle. Could be the fittings/line going from the housing to the locker or maybe the locker itself.

I had an issue with lean when I first built my Jeep.
It ended up being the rear upper control arms causing the suspension to be in a bind.
I removed one of the upper rear...
Here is what I have for preload:

Easiest way to test for a messed up spring is to swap sides and see if the lean follows.
