The build of my flag ship Black Pearl

I’m at a loss with this thing. I’ve spent so much time under the Jeep with the wife turning the steering wheel. I can’t find play in anything, and if I thought it had play I’ve replaced it. Yesterday I was helping a buddy with his Jeep and comparing his steering to mine, we both have the PSC box...

Found just the slightest amount of play in the lower steering shaft u joint. Not fully convinced that’s causing the issue, but I’ll have a new one later today. Checked the PSC steering box. Seems there is zero play in that. At this point almost everything in the steering is brand new and if...

    JLU 40% seat delete

That’s the setup I ran in my 65 Chevy for a passenger seat. Coupled with a ratchet strap, it worked well 🤣

Waiting for it to cool down the check the steering shaft between firewall and steering box. I really hope it’s not in the PSC box!

My battle with the front end of the jeep continues. There are so many new parts now and if they aren’t brand new they have between 8000-10000 miles. On flat roads it drives amazingly even bumpy straight always does great, but if I hit a bump in a turn… it’s done. Have to bring it to a dead stop...

Outside of needing to center my steering wheel, the jeep drove great this evening. Of course I picked probably the two hottest days of the year to work on it, but I glad it’s in. Tomorrow I’ll do a decent test drive.

Took me a little longer than I wanted to, to get the axle under the jeep. I also took a big break because it was 108 degrees today. But it’s under now just to start bolting it up.

Got everything all laid out for the outboard shock mounts. Used a pice of high carbon 1” round stock for the spacers. Couple more holes to drill and the axle should be ready to go under the jeep.

Pro rock 44 install with EVO coilover kit.

Another question for those that have done this install. I’m preparing the new axle and the shock mounts on the pro rock are slightly more outboard than the stock axle. Should I run a small spacer to install the lower coilover bracket? Pictures for reference

This was never intended to be a combination. But with the wrangler not up to a 1200 mile trip, we’re talking the compass. It took some trial and error, but ended up making a new draw bar for the trailer. That way we don’t have a Rue Goldberg looking hitch setup. Much happier how it’s sitting now.
