I did a spacer lift on my buddies RAM 1500 with IFS. Rear was simple, solid axle just put the spacer in between the spring and the frame. For his front we replaced the shock. The height was set with a little circlip, same spring was reused and strut went back in without any problems. His did...

That looks like some cool trails? Is there a lot of rocky trails like this out there? looks like i need to visit that place. I carry this guy with me for wheeling trips, takes slightly less room than a full size saw zall, I might even get the smaller version of this.

Yup, bead locks. AEV really does stand behind their stuff. Sucks about your shocks man. I run AEV 5160s, no problems at all and like how they feel. Maybe try contacting AEV directly through their warranty website. Bead lock pintlers would be sweet but they stopped making those a long time...
