Thanks. That's I the look I was going for. I like mods that you have a hard time telling if it came from the factory that way or not.

I forgot to add that I tried the panel with the spaced out power port. The prongs on the back of the plug still hit the sheet metal underneath. Looks like I'll need to look into that box idea after all.

Today I cleaned out the old aftermarket amp wiring that was found under the big floor bin in the cargo area. I also pulled the 4ga power wire that was run up the driver side to power the amp. With that out of the way, I ran my 12/3 power wire to the rear cargo area. The outer insulation jacket...

Replacement plug arrived today. Hopefully this amount of protrusion will clear the body tub. If not, I'll look into that box idea.

I painted the spacer with the same spray on truck bed liner I used on the front bumper.

Today I picked up a 1" PVC connector from the electrical conduit section at Lowe's. It needed a bit of trimming for length and inside diameter. After cutting it to length, I used a big step drill bit and opened up the inside of each end until the power port just began to fit. Then a sanding drum...

That would be a better solution... if done before drilling those holes. Since I did more assuming than measuring before I started cutting, I have to get creative to hide my mistake. 😆

Ok, good news/bad news today. The Good: The USB and 12v power ports arrived today, two days earlier than expected. I was able to start fitting them to the rear passenger corner interior panel. The Bad: The 12v power port won't fit where I wanted it to, and I didn't find this out until AFTER I...

My Jeep didn't come with a rear cargo area 12v power port, so I'm going to add some ports of my own. I'm adding a cargo area 12V socket as well as a multi USB socket as well. The USB socket has a volt gauge, on/off switch and one USB-A and two USB-C ports on it. The single type A port is PD...

The digital rearview mirror arrived in the mail today and I already have the mirror and wires to the rear mostly installed. All I have left to connect is the power wire for the camera and then mount the camera itself. I need to find a keyed 12V power source wire near or in the rear swing gate. I...

I just ordered a 4K rear view mirror display with a rear camera. The mirror itself also has a forward facing dash cam built into it and a SD card slot for saving video to. I went this route so I could have a clear rear view while driving without having to remove the spare tire. That's been my #1...

Good light cut off and amazingly noticeable light even when the sunlight is just starting to fade. With the old lights it would have to be just about pitch black out before I would be able to notice the light on the road in front of the Jeep.

Found a little surprise while I was taking out the side light on the driver side... I guess when in Rome... No issues with the passenger side light.

More pics... The fog lights need some nuts and bolts to mount them, so I'll get those tomorrow. I also need to install the front fender side marker LEDs, but that'll wait till tomorrow when it's supposed to be warmer and not raining.

There's lots of how-to's on installing these kind of LEDs, so I'll just post a few pics of the before, during and after.

All the front end LED lights arrived today. So now it's time to get those installed on the Jeep. I went with blacked out turn and side lights and blacked out head and fog lights behind clear lenses. I'm trying to stick with the simple black on white theme that this Jeep already has going on...

Just noticed a significant front end droop after the bumper and winch install. I guess now I'll be looking at a steel rear bumper and a leveling kit at a minimum. I don't want to lift it at all because my dog will have issues jumping in if I do.
