Much better. Still have to wire up the winch though.

Ok, so now there's a full frontal LED treatment inbound next. I just ordered LED halo headlights, 4pc front and side turn signal set and fog lights. I'm going to remove those LED fog lights I already put on the bumper as they don't really look like I was hoping they would on the steel bumper...

Almost done after 3 days of grinding wire wheeling, shaping, sanding and painting. I still need to wire up the lights and then mount the winch. The winch relay box is going to be remote mounted, most likely under the hood. On a side note, after seeing all the work that was required to get this...

I got offered to trade my stock bumper for a mid winch bumper. I'm in the process of cleaning the rust off the mid bumper. I could only get partway done before draining all my grinder batteries. Until I finish removing all the rust from the entire bumper, I'll keep spraying the cleaned sections...

Ok, sooo... hear me out for a sec. You know how you make plans for something, and start making those plans happen, and then a rubber duck flies out of left field and hits you in the head hard enough to spin you around and next thing you know, you're facing a different direction, can't remember...

In hoping I won't have to trim that crossmember to clear the winch, but I won't hesitate to break out the angle grinder if needed. I'm going to only trim parts of the Jeep frame as a last resort and as little as possible. That's why I didn't want to mount it upright from below, which would...

I'm thinking the crossmember directly under the winch will prevent any rock impact issues. It's true that I probably won't be able to see or reach the spool or the freewheel lever very easily, but that's a compromise I'm willing to accept for a stock looking bumper setup. I won't be able to...

I didn't bother to start this thread with the receiver hitch i just put on last week since that was just a couple of bolts, screws and plugs. Lego type stuff basically. What I really wanted to start out with was to mount a winch hidden inside the stock front bumper shell. To make the winch fit...

Question about vacuum pump on JKU

Yup, that's the plan. Ordering the pump and an Evo relocation bracket today. On a related side note, I finished modifying the winch mount to fit the frame horns and cut a couple pieces of angle iron for inner braces. Just have to drill the holes and then debur and paint the pieces while I wait...

Question about vacuum pump on JKU

So, I'm mounting a winch upside down so that it hides inside my stock bumper. FWIW: It's a HF Badlands 12K winch on a modified Badlands universal winch mount plate. From reading posts on the forum here, I already knew that I would have to relocate the vacuum pump and bracket to allow the Winch...

Hey everyone! New guy to the forum here.

Looks like someone was having a little fun with the Jeep before they traded it in. I didn't know a JK would go that fast.

Hey everyone! New guy to the forum here.

It's so much easier to find parking spots for the JKU than the Silverado I had before. 😆

I can confirm that GSDs' and Huskys' make good playmates. My neighbors have a 3yo 90 lb male GSD that plays with Bucky all the time.

Hey everyone! New guy to the forum here.

Here's a cleaned up pic. And BTW, I personally think those Bridgestone Dueler AT's are garbage in the snow. After yesterdays 50 mile roundtrip excursion, I'd say that the "AT" moniker probably stands for Awful Traction.

That's just his usual everyday RBF. I've been told that his facial expression makes him look like Gene Simmons.

He's always doing this whenever there's snow on the ground.

Hey everyone! New guy to the forum here.

As promised, here's a pic of my special Maine edition "Winter Camo" JKU , as well as a pic of Bucky nosing around in the snow this morning.

Hey everyone! New guy to the forum here.

I haven't had a 440 for a couple of years now. I've just always used that user name on all the forums I've joined. Most of the 440's I've had in the past have been in either '70-'74 Challengers or old Power Wagons. ;)

Hey everyone! New guy to the forum here.

It's camo colored right now. (all white JK in a late season snowstorm) I plan to get some pics posted soon, of the JK and the pup. Bucky goes everywhere with me, so I'll have plenty of opportunities to get some combo pics. (y)
