    Has anyone bought from...

... Chassis Unlimited? Their ads popped up on Facebook, and I've clicked the links a couple of times. I was just hoping to hear if their steering equipment is good for lifted Jeeps (TJs), or not. I know Eddie had told me that Currie was good for their system would be a good investment, too.

Yeah. The air dryers are a must. I generally stick with Miller products when I can.

Photos of your first true love!

My first love was something I never owned. What I ended up with as a 1st vehicle to drive in an open field behind my parents' house at 14 years old was similar to this. My mom was pissed at my dad for getting it for my brother and me to learn to drive stick shift. We beat the snot out of it.

That's not really "overlanding" anymore. And yes, I read the whole thread, all 100+ pages of it once. :D

    Northeast Snowpocalypse 2016

I ended up driving around the Northeast (in the city), and basically made fun of a buddy who posted Facebook pictures of his Prius buried in his driveway, while I was posting my Jeep at the bank and supermarket. It took me a few minutes getting the Jeep off of my block, but once I was running...

VIDEO - WHITE WEDNESDAY : Topless Winter Wheeling in a Willys

Pappy reminds me that the first vehicle I ever pretended to drive as a toddler was my dad's mid-1950s CJ3. I started smiling watching the video on YouTube earlier today. My grandson (I'm on the youngish side for being a pop pop, but enjoy the hell out of being one) is growing up pretending to...

    Popeapalooza in Popadelphia

My Governor is also a Wrangler owner, who used his 2006 Golden Eagle in his campaign ads and took it to events across Pennsylvania. He's definitely living the Wayalife.

    Popeapalooza in Popadelphia

We're experiencing a complete shutdown of Philadelphia because of Pope Francis' visit to the East Coast. Il Papa rides a JKU Which doesn't surprise me anymore, after I was in Rome with my wife back in 2006, and we watched a procession of Pope Benedict riding on the back of a flatbed GMC...

    Dial indicator

Gotcha. I used to align shafts for turbines, and Starrett was the only name you saw on the precision measuring equipment.

    Dial indicator

What problems would one have with Starrett? Their tools are (were?) the benchmark that all other precision tools tried to be. Have they gone to cheaper parts? Foreign sourcing? As a former Millwright, where I had to be dead on to the 1/10,000th", the brand name had to live up to the hype.

Learning to Weld-- Tips for Beginners on Welding and Gear

If you're going to try to TiG weld, you're getting into buying argon (nitrogen and helium are options, but argon is the best bet) gas as the shielding to keep oxygen out, which means bottle purchases or rentals, buying gauges, hoses, Tig handles, tungsten, etc. I'd suggest buying a TiG handle...
