What your asking about doing should work yes but without disconnecting the shocks your going to have to compres those springs quite a lot and it would make me nervous as hell. To each their own but a 3" ish coil will pretty much fall right out if you just disconnect the shock and sway bar link...

So basically as long as I torque it back to what it was I don't have to mess with a new crush sleeve or pinion preload is what I'm gathering? I do have some torque paint from work we have that stuff all over our aircraft
