    JL Step Options

This seems like a fine idea. What about a short rope ladder attached to the seat frame that you flop out for climbing in and then stow next to the seat when you get in? It would only need one rung...

    Hello

Welcome from Texas (and Arizona). Having a good battery is important. The Jeep totally freaks out when the battery goes bad. It is like looking at a pinball machine. Older vehicles with true analog gauges were much easier to understand. For example the CJ-5 displayed the battery voltage in the...

    Black Friday Trails

Did you get stuck on purpose like Eddie did for his video about how to get unstuck from sand? In his video, he dropped the tire pressures to 6 PSI and just drove out as if by magic.

    Hola from Houston

Welcome from Texas (and Arizona)! I have not been to Big Bend since maybe 1988, and that was in a '79 CJ-5 with a cracked exhaust manifold and original carburator. I recall that the Jeep trails were very rocky and rough with the leaf spring suspension.

Maybe it is partially my fault, but we all treated him very well without the normal trial by fire metted out to those who violate the forum rules.

    Which should I install first?

I should have mentioned that Eddie (forum operator) has a series of videos about his red 2-door Wrangler JL Sport "Pippi" on his wayalife YouTube channel. These are really helpful videos since they address how to make the Sport better without going wild and crazy and breaking the bank. Many of...

    Which should I install first?

Unless it is just for show, there should be a reason for any modifications. Probably none of these need to be replaced unless you get larger tires, and starting with a Sport, those parts would should not be your highest priority. For example, if you were to put on larger tires then improving the...

    Watcha cookin'?

We enjoyed hosting a turkey dinner. The turkey is very easy to prepare. My wife does the rest of the work. A benefit is to have a lot of left-overs to eat for a week or two.

Please see the "Help" section, where many of the additional rules are posted. The rules do not appear to ban all linked content (direct posting/uploading of content is strongly preferred), but they do ban links to other forums, YouTube channels, and all activities by non-approved vendors.

Mostly what I see in these photos are extra large bump-stops, showing that there is little suspension travel possible. FYI, there are rules against linking to external content in this forum.

Behavior would be different if the tire drives over a hole. Not so good if it goes over a hump. 😄 No doubt, a progressive spring is intended to still be in the softer portion while on level ground in order to produce a "softer" feel on level ground (like on the road, or at the shopping mall)...

Random Internet Shit you've come across

No. But my wife was a teacher at a school which was primarily poor minority students. It was assumed that if the school was not feeding the children that they were not getting fed and so there was a problem to be investigated. The sad thing is that was often the case. However, almost all...

Random Internet Shit you've come across

Did someone fail to mention the government's free lunch (and now breakfast) program? In some places if a parent does not enroll their child in these plans they may become subject to Child Protective Services.
