VIDEO : Improve Your JL or JT Headlights for Cheap by Installing LED Bulbs

The air box on the gas 3.6 comes out in a couple minutes. The grill on my JLUR with a winch, won't come out without loosening the bumper and probably removing the winch. The JL frame really didn't leave enough room for a Warn Zeon. An extra 1/4" would be a great help, another 1/2" would be a...

VIDEO : Improve Your JL or JT Headlights for Cheap by Installing LED Bulbs

There is no need to remove the grill. You can access the caps of the housings from the rear. The air cleaner box needs to come out. That doesn't take long to remove.

    10" Light Bar Suggestions

Both Rigid and Baja Designs have their SAE compliant series which will help keep you in good graces with the local LEO. But regardless of "compliant" lights, no lights can be aimed as to blind oncoming traffic and most states have codes to that effect.

    10" Light Bar Suggestions

Since the KC Flex is discontinued, I'd recommend an array of four (4) S2 Pro lights. I've had such a setup on my GMC truck for about 7-8 years now. I love it. They are triggered thru relays by the high beam signal. This allows me to dump them quickly with the high beam headlight switch. My...

In The Shop - Disciple Off Road

Hmm. Now I'm wondering what my shop installed on mine. I haven't got it back yet, but he was going to install a Gamechanger and he did show me those brackets and recommended them. I didn't give an answer. But I gave him a lot of freedom on all the work being done. I will know soon enough.

    JL Auto Trans Overheating?

That is pretty much normal. There was one guy that had temperatures that went right up to the high 200s and fried a couple transmissions before they figured out the valve assembly with the thermostat was stuck and wasn't letting fluid to the cooler. This fluid is in these transmissions is...

    JL Auto Trans Overheating?

I thought the folks on this forum should know this information. There's been enough chronic overheating problems with the auto trans thermostat (in the 68233384AA Heater-Transmission), which controls the flow to the fluid cooler, that Jeep has superseded the original assembly with a new part...

Not sure what I did wrong. Just trying to help the OP.

    JL Wrangler Coolant

Here's a whole thread on the topic. There's no majic. Fundamentally, you have ethylene glycol and propylene glycol coolants. You can use any ethylene glycol based coolant. Prestone makes a compatible coolant. Don't use propylene glycol. I believe this information is in the owners manual.

VIDEO : Improve Your JL or JT Headlights for Cheap by Installing LED Bulbs

If I'm not mistaken, the bulb sizes are in the owners manual. At least they are for my old 2018. Worse case, pull a bulb out. It's marked on the bulb.

VIDEO : Improve Your JL or JT Headlights for Cheap by Installing LED Bulbs

I've been among those that crossed over to the dark side well over a year ago. The surprising thing is the JL headlight fixture has such good cutoff with LED bulbs. I was a doubter until I saw this video. You can plainly see how well the JL halogen fixtures perform with LED bulbs from...

    Maxxis Rzr Tires. Any good?

https://www.maxxis.com/us/tire/razr-at/ 37 is the largest 17" wheel size. If you want 40", you have to move to a 20" wheel.

    Maxxis Rzr Tires. Any good?

Maxxis claims to have a new rubber compound that is tougher than the previous compound. No idea when that would have cut in.

    Maxxis Rzr Tires. Any good?

I was thinking about those MTs, but opted to go milder. I'll know whether that was the right choice, once I wear them out. 😁

    Maxxis Rzr Tires. Any good?

I have some Maxxis Razr AT 37s that I'm about to install. Not exactly the tire I wanted, but close enough. I watched a Northridge video review that claimed these tires balanced with very little weight and are great for on-off road use. I read a few that had them on another forum that they...
