    Dynatrac Axles

I'm only going off of what RCV is claiming. Whatever bears out in reality may be a different story, I haven't looked into the failure rate of RCV shafts. For the sake of this argument, let's assume what RCV claims is accurate. OP, think about this statement from RCV's website for a minute: Test...

    Rear ProRock 60 for cheap...

For anyone who's curious, it's about $5000 new for a semi-float ProRock 60 housing. I'll scan the receipt from ORW of El Cajon if anyone would like to see it. Here's the quote I got from Dan Seldon about for it:

BIG MONEY? thoughts on these price quotes?

I'm going to go against the grain here and recommend the Tera44 housing as a good product. I bought the R44 housing to re-use the stock GKN locker, brackets and end-forgings installed for 4" of lift, and 3.25x.25" tubes. The price is comparable to a ProRock 44 and the Teraflex housing is made in...

    Help my axle blew up!!

It depends on how much money you have OP. Junkyard axles can work, but you would need to do many things to get them to work. If you pull a full-float Ford 10.5/11.5" rear axle from a Super Duty you'll have to cut the old brackets off and weld new ones on, you'll probably get a gear ratio like...

    37's on a D30

That 7.3" ring gear can totally take 37" tires, it works out so well people will buy a Dana 60 and 11.5" 14-bolt and adapt them to a Jeep or just buy custom assemblies from Dynatrac. As trustworthy as a Dana 35 with large tires and offroad use.

My own JK 'Big Brake' research:

So I'm an "Internet thug" becuase I pointed out numerous inconsistencies in Majik's reasoning and the outright lie in his ring and pinion non-writeup? In spite of what you seem to believe, I spent very little time using the search function of this forum and Google. Nothing I referenced took that...

Through approximately two more minutes of Internet sluething I've managed to find more super-secret brake kit information. Also, you too can donate to the cause. Give me your cash or spare parts. I will put them to use on my Jeep, I mean take them to the scrapyard for cash, no wait, I mean use...

My own JK 'Big Brake' research:

This thread is still going on. Not only does Dynatrac have a front and rear system but so does Baer ($1745 for the front and $795 for the rear). Not only do the Dynatrac and Baer kits actually exist, you don't need to read through hundreds of posts of bullshit. Speaking of bullshit, I've come up...

    ESP Kill Switch

I tried it about six times in my 2012 before giving up and just installing a kill switch. In my opinion, it's not worth trying the steering wheel dance. It's worth the time to just be able to flip a switch and restart the Jeep than waste time on the steering wheel dance. I like the automatic...

TF Terra axle housing Pros & Cons

OP, who's given you your quote for a ProRock44? When I e-mailed Dynatrac about the possibility of a front ProRock60 I got about $8000 as a quote. I have a hard time believing that any front Dana 44 axle would cost $7500.

TF Terra axle housing Pros & Cons

I bought a Teraflex R44 housing with 3.25x0.25 tubes that also has extra caster built into it when I had the lift and other accessories installed. I paid about $1750 for it, I paid a less than advertised price because Off-Road Warehouse gave me a discount for doing a bunch of things at once. I...

My rear Dana 44 keeps failing...

I haven't gotten around to starting a build thread yet, but I wanted some opinions on what's going on with my rear axle and future plans. I had the lift, wheels/tires, front axle housing, and many other things replaced at around 10,000 miles. About 24,000 miles later I replaced the carrier and...
