Did you ever sell it? I just recently sold Brute to a friend who is using it the way it’s meant to be…but I sorely miss both JK6 & Brute…I will be doing something with my 392 next year…I take delivery of my LR Defender Octa next week, so the 392 will be the next project.

While I do have hickory planks for longer cooks, this was a cedar plank...well soaked, barely got singed until the fish was 130 and perfect...it is primarily for indirect heat. I added a couple small chunks of applewood for smoke...
Nice day for grilling…white king salmon, with compound butter, Okinawan sweet potato. 5% of king (Chinook) salmon have an aberration in the dna that doesn’t allow them to absorb the pink/orange pigmentation from krill and shrimp they feed on as smolts
Finished the trip with 2 days on the Yakima & Cle Elum rivers…seriously windy, gusting to 25-30…a bunch of small fish, but still managed a couple decent bows & cutties…
