Power Steering Loss on a Jeep Gladiator

I have a huge hunch that it's battery-related, it's the only thing that changes drastically like that in cold weather. I noticed my alternator was pushing 15amps the morning that it happened to me. And these smart alternators also do not charge your battery while on the freeway to save MPG, I...

Power Steering Loss on a Jeep Gladiator

I might reconsider then. Did you ever figure out your issue with the accuair Gladistor?

Buying a 392 or disabling ESS with the delete? LOL

Power Steering Loss on a Jeep Gladiator

I just had this happen to me in my 22 Gladiator Rubicon. 22 degrees outside and doing 70 on the freeway and lost power steering. No lights or anything on the dash. Pulled over and the power steering came back when I got down to ~20mph or so. Cold weather definitely seems to play a part. I did...

    Split rear fenders?

The rivets? Nah, you can drill those out or just use one of metal fork looking tools to break them (that's what I did). The risk would be separating the two halves of the fender where they're plastic welded but you just make sure you're applying force / bending the discarded piece, all is well.

    Split rear fenders?

Went ahead and just did it, too much half finished projects in the garage. I like it, tons of room, pretty sure I could fit 40s now (currently on 38s with a 2.5" lift)

    Split rear fenders?

Just more room for tires/articulation. My goal is low lift / big tires so currently I'm running on a 2.5" lift with 38's I havent fully flexed it out yet but I was pretty positive I would touch fenders so the fronts have been chopped. I'm not sure if i'll have issues in the rear yet though.

    Split rear fenders?

I’ve got the American adventure labs inner fender liners front and rear as well as their fender chop LED lights. I’ve chopped the fronts and got the lights and liners on. For the rears I can’t decide if I want to just install the liners or split the fenders as well. The only downside is the...

    Low lift / big tires

I just wanted to report back on this after having the 38” Nitto Ridge Grappler Load C’s, originally they did not fit between the frame rails at any tire pressure, after 5k miles when I did my first rotation a 5k mile worn tire fits perfectly between the frame rails. So for anyone else wanting...

CANCELED My AAA Premier Road Side Assistance - Think You're Covered? Think Again

Dumb question but I'd like to know for the future before I get myself into trouble. Why is a flat bed needed for 4WD vehicles? Cant we just put the transfer case/transmission in N and tow it however?

    Offset / backspacing for 38s

They posted about it on their Facebook page on Sept 9th, I emailed them last week and they said mid-November, it's a new light made by diode dynamics that won't yellow over time like the old AAL / Quake lights do. One of their techs gave me a heads up this was coming early summer though so I've...

    Offset / backspacing for 38s

I planned on chopping my fenders with the AAL kit and I will in two weeks when the new fender lights are released. I’m sure I’d rub as it is currently off-road with the sway bar disconnected. My goal was to have as low of a COG as possible. If you don’t want to do all that the 3.5” kit is the...

    Offset / backspacing for 38s

Another update. Running great with plenty of room. After a front end alignment I got around 1” of clearance to the front lower control arms lock to lock. No issues anywhere with the 17x9 +1 offset. Will be chopping fenders soon for more off-road flex. Went with 5.13 revolution gears, rcv front...

    Rear Hitch Bar

I've got a 38" spare under the bed and around 2 mm of space between the spare tire and the rear Clayton (bent) track bar. If it takes up any more room it wont fit.

    Rear Hitch Bar

Hello, I have a Rubicon without the rear tow hitch, if I swap to the rear bar with a hitch do you know if I'll have more or less clearance for my spare tire? There's a little piece of bent steel that sticks towards the spare on the current bar, curious if it's worse or better on the hitch version.

    Low lift / big tires

38 x 12.50 r17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers Load C 2.5" Clayton Overland Plus Lift 17x9 +1 offset Fuel Covert Wheels (27lbs) So far this is working great, no rubbing anywhere lock to lock. I've got a little under an inch at full lock before touching the front lower control arms. I'm about half an inch...

    Offset / backspacing for 38s

    Here they are. 38s on a 2.5” Clayton lift. 17x9 1mm offset.

    Offset / backspacing for 38s

Thanks. Will do. Don’t want to add 13mm more poke going from a +1 to a -12. Obviously if my tires were 13.5” wide I would have to.

    Offset / backspacing for 38s

The problem isn’t the lift height. I’ll swap springs or chop fenders in a heartbeat. Mainly concerned about making this offset work.

    Offset / backspacing for 38s

so you can unbolt the bracket but my problem is the plate behind it which is welded to the frame. As seen here.
