Anyone MAKE their tire carrier!?

I was just wondering if anybody made there own rear tire carrier?? Im going to start welding one up but wanted to know if there were any threads I could get some ideas from. Thanks guys!!!!:confused:

A to Z fabrication (www.atozfabrication.com) has some builder parts and even a tire carrier kit for $92 that includes the spindle, tire mount, studs, etc

just make sure you weld the spindle top and bottom in your bumper design, to give it the stability against the vertical load from the carrier.

Yes, I made my tire carrier. It's a mixture of the Gen-right and the EVO tire carrier. I liked characteristics on each but not as a whole, so I decided to combine the looks. 1374985_167299020143539_137247841_n.jpg

If this comment was for me; nope..don't hate it at all. Even my wife doesn't have issues with unlatching. Two latches and it's open.
