Muffler heat shield

I noticed a annoying noise in the back of the jeep, I did my famous brankZ investigation and after 1 hour I found that the rear muffler heat shield is rattling because is touching my dynomax muffler, can I just take off the shield or I need to have that?

Just bend it back out of the way. It's flexible. It'll make your cab hotter in the back.
