Stopped by the Pinion Nut

jeeeep

Hooked
Attempted to replace rear pinion seal, after 2 hours just getting the stock DS off what a pia that was...the pinion nut would not budge. put my impact drill on it and also tried a 3/4" breaker bar but I could see the torque it was putting on the pinion so I stopped. - it could of just been twisting play but didn't want to take the risk and I've never had a pinion nut not come off with the impact wrench.

Anyone have similar issues? I'd rather do the repair myself, it's not my first rodeo in doing this but not being able to break the nut loose

I'm guessing when the shop installed ring gear upgrade they used some heat required thread lock if so, will the diff oil catch on fire and I'm wondering what heat will do to the pinion and inner seals
