[Q] CJ7 aftermarket rear sway bar, worth it or not?

Is an aftermarket REAR sway bar worth it?

I do have some rear stability issues. I was thinking a sway bar would correct the problem, thoughts?

Not worth it. You have leaf springs and really don't need a rear sway bar. Heck, you don't even need a front one. Why don't you tell us about your Jeep and the kind of mods it has. Perhaps we can help you to find what's going on.

The suspension is lifted 2", it has a steering stabilizer.

Off road, it is good. On road, the rear-end seems to drift, left to right, a little. Just feels a little squirrely. Not dangerous squirrely, but it just feels strange. Thanks for the input..

Is this your first CJ. That might just be the CJ feel. That is similar feel that I remember from mine. Sway bar will control body roll. Not what you are describing.

Okay, is the lift from new springs, an add-a-leaf or was it done using crazy tall shackles? If the later, that's probably your problem right there.

First CJ7, my last Jeep was a CJ5. I just figured it might be correctable. It very well could be just "the CJ feel".

Thanks again.

Check and make sure things are tight back there for sure. Good luck. I wish I never sold mine

Definitely going to double check it all. It's a beast, I definitely missed having a CJ.
