Rausch creek 3/9/14

Today was the day that I surrendered my jeep into the hands of my GF (Jodi) for the day.

This was a very excited and nerve racking day for me as I never let anyone drive my jeep so it was hard letting go.

At Christmas time I decided to get Jodi a private 101 class at Rausch so she could learn how to handle knuckles and learn how to drive him properly. This was also planned out for a trip out west to wheel with Eddie and the west coast crew(which I recently had to cancel due to personal reasons). Today's trip would have type of terrain that she would have encountered if we made it out there.

Apparently Jodi wheels harder than me. Broke a u joint


The axle shaft was so ovaled that I need all new shafts. UPGRADE TIME!


All in all she did AMAZING! The instructed Kyle said she looked like a natural behind the wheel. Needless to say she will be driving more on some of the up coming trips.

Chromoly with full circle clips for sure. I don't want rcv's cause they are to expensive and since they are so strong they will make the ring and pinion the weak point which I don't want. I would rather break another u joint

I think it's $150 for the normal class and a private class is more.

I'm still a maybe for that trip. Need to see if I have the money after the new shafts I need to buy

glad to see the snow is almost gone finally. we should talk to him about a private 201 class for just the wayalife guys if we can get enough interest in it.

so on the club run I let juile aka youngfire drive my jeep through a couple ops here is her full out assault on the hill that scared me a little aka why i said it in the end! sorry for video friend upload it!
think the 101 is in our futur for her lol, but she did do a very good job over all that day.

That would be cool. I wonder if it's possible to run the 201 without having done the 101. Unfortunately I think I know the answer.

from what I remember kyle saying, they are 2 very different classes focusing on different things. I would deff try and take the 101 first as you learn a ton about your jeep and how capable they are, especially when still stock.
